Allison Brooks Janney is an American actor born on November 19 1959. Her appearances on screen and stage have been praised over the span of her 3-decade career. Janney has won many awards. Janney was a native of Dayton, Ohio. She was born and raised in Boston. The Kenyon College graduation earned her the opportunity to study at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Her first television appearance was in 1999 when she portrayed C. J. Cregg on the political show NBC's The West Wing (from 1999 from 1999 to). She was awarded Four Primetime Emmy Awards for the part. Her role on the Showtime drama Masters of Sex, Margaret Scully, Janney won the Primetime Emmy Award 2014 for Outstanding Guest Actress in the Drama Series.
